He is the ideology birthed out of a conference held in the heavenlies between God the Son, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
Let us make man in our image was the conclusion of the conference. So, God made man.
Then, the narrative continues. Man made money. Money made man mad. Biblically, God then intervened to remind us what the divine order is all about.
Cleaner air, families reconnecting, men being the priests of their homes & so on and so forth.
His light and divine nature are deposited in the soul of man. Meaning that we are a reflection of God here on earth while spending the short glimpse of eternity awaiting the rest of it in heaven. As imperfect as man is, traces of God’s light and divine nature should be evident if one truly claims to be a believer in God.
You shall know them by their fruits. Matthew 7:20
The wondrous cross on Calvary is the mirror and measure with which measure this. The purpose of the cross remains to be;
- A covenant reconciling the imperfect man with the perfect God.
- Fulfilment of prophecy.
- Reinstatement of the agenda heavenlies conference agreement i.e. man is God’s image, not a religious freak.
- Direct access to the heavenly agenda i.e. no more need to go through a human high priest.
Man, in his imperfect state, had created a religious order that was nowhere near what he is ordained to do here on earth. This is almost pretty much similar to what we have turned church to be nowadays. Eg, the dress is too short or too tight. The prayer was lengthy and lacked power amongst other sacrilegious standards that we hold today.
The good news is that the sacrificial Lamb of God had been prophecied about long before His coming. The better news is that the Lamb of God is also the High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. He is all in one, therefore, no need for you to look for another priest or a different sacrifice to present each time. The sacrifice has been given once and for all unto Himself thereby sealing that covenant.
It is finished. John 19:30
What is the agenda of the heavenly?
Agenda 1. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, to be like us. Let them be masters over the fish in the ocean, the birds that fly, the livestock, everything that crawls on the earth, and over the earth itself!”
Agenda 2. Genesis 1:28 God blessed the humans by saying to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it! Be masters over the fish in the ocean, the birds that fly, and every living thing that crawls on the earth!”
The summary of the 2 agenda points is be like ‘us’, fruitfulness, multiplication, fill/load/pile, subdue and be masters/in control.
This is the mirror reflection that we ought to show the light and divine nature deposited in each one of us. Sadly, even after sealing of the covenant with the blood from the sacrificial Lamb, we still lost the plot somehow somewhere and let the earth fall into chaos.
The good news is that as long as the rapture has not happened, we can still work on our part of the covenant agreement. Even if the rapture happens, God will still provide a way but it will cost more than what it does now. So, don’t wait.
What to do?
If you notice there is an emphasis of man being a master. Further revelation shows that God has given us authority not only over His creation but also in the spiritual realm by specifically stating the continuous remembrance of the Lord’s table as well as teaching us how to pray.
Secondly, all other agenda items are the results expected from our labour. Nothing short. Labour in both earthly and spiritual matters.
As the priest of your home, it is within your authority and responsibility to lead your household in partaking the Lord’s table. Not your pastor. Not only in the Easter season but all through as the Lord leads. In the Old Testament, the Lord’s table was first seen during the Passover in Egypt as a symbol of divine protection against the spirit of death that was sweeping through Egypt and devouring the firstborn male of the Egyptians. I dare go further & state that it was the households unmarked by the blood of the lamb. After which, the Passover became a memorial of deliverance. An ancient landmark as man did what he knew best i.e. created a religion out of a move of God. With the ultimate sacrifice on Calvary, a new Passover was created not with a lamb but The Lamb. Not with a priest but the High Priest. Not as a one-time event in the ultimate showdown between an Egyptian deity and the True God, but with an instruction do this as often as you can in remembrance of ME. Not just deliverance for a particular season but through and through.
Do not wait for Holy Communion Sunday, Family Sunday or whatever other name that tradition and religion has made it become. Rather, search the Scriptures, meditate, pray and obey the instruction given because the Cross is also a mirror reflection of the relationship required of man.
Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also for. John 5:19.
