MIND YOUR “FAITH” AND “DREAMS” Don’t allow just “ANYONE” to speak into your life.
They will orchestrate confusion in the divinely ordained order, of your life! I am tired of “prophets” and their “prophesies” the same way I am tired of my own dreams and visions! Exaggerated and more active than my actual life, draining my emotions and conflicting my reality. We love prophesy! We adore prophets and long to hear a “word of wisdom.” And who is this that doesn’t like dreaming? But be careful! And I am not here to frustrate grace; mine or any other person’s genuinely operating in such office, as it were!
“Thus says the Lord!,” cannot be a laughing matter! … It has to be said in FEAR and TREMBLING! Remember, what we HEAR, sets in motion what we eventually BELIEVE and hang on, in hope! Words are portent, and carry power to BIRTH! Test, and DO NOT BELIEVE every spirit (1 John 4:1-6). Judge prophesy to abstract confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). We have the SPIRIT OF GOD inside of us. We need to Pray! Activate! and Engage Him! (Ezekiel 36:17; Isaiah 63:11; John 16:13; Romans 8:9, 11, 15; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Corinthians 6:16, 19; Galatians 4:6 / 5:18, 22; 2 Timothy 1 14; 1 John 2:27 / 4:4). Will I see a shrink? No!. They will charge me for my own emotions and narrative! Let my money abound with me! I take faith and my dreams seriously. If it were not so, why would God allow me to dream dreams and have visions only to leave me conflicted? I leave demons and out of this. I am honest with myself because the only person I can deceive is me. Who can tell the thoughts in a person’s heart except themselves? I have lived long to stop lying to me any more. My eyes and ears see and hear things as they are! Even if I don’t voice them, my conviction is intact. My journals, full of prophesies and dreams dating many years back. Diviners, spiritualists, horoscopes, jugglers, charlatans, impostors and palm readers, have all said something to me, taking advantage, of my itching ears. Just like as many as are reading this could have fallen short of pursuing the impetuous, shameful works of darkness in witchcraft, sorcery and black magic, day and night. If we are to be honest, we may discover dozens of “faithfools” who throng places of worship, talismans and charms, discreetly concealed within their adorning, the same way others would purchase “holy” ornaments and inanimate objects, to safeguard them from demonic attacks, rather than apply The Living Word of God.
Who knows what power is in operation from some pulpits? A person purchasing “anointed” objects is no different from the one adorning “protective” charms around their wrists and waists. They are both practicing from two separate dimensions of witchcraft. Each to their own! But how do you know this? They ask! Because we have “eyes” that see. I say! Did I say I doubt them? Didn’t I deny I didn’t believe them? The Spirit of God in a person, if allowed to operate liberally, sees everything, dissects the truth, in the fullness of time. But I know what one prophet of the LORD said in Isaiah 55 verse 11: “God’s Word does not return to Him void but it accomplishes and prospers that for which it is sent,” and hope in the LORD, that somehow they shall manifest within fleeting days of my life, as by the grace of God, I Keep Going
For long, I watch with optimism, the sun lazily rising from the skies each dawn, then watch again with pessimism and indignation, as it disappears slowly in the horizons by dusk, silently decreeing: “kesho pia ni siku.” Nights and days have become shorter, but life is still numbered. It is human nature to doubt, to despair, to feel hopeless and to lapse in faith. But it should never be the exception and excuse to lose hope. No! Troubles and limitations cause us to doubt in God. Even when everything is going well with us we still keep on testing God as we have nothing to worry about. But the moment we get challenged to believe in God at one time when we face difficult situations which we do not know how to solve, doubt sets in. Great men and women of faith often experienced lapses in their faith, and were also doubtful. Abraham claiming Sarah was his wife, even after God had assured them of their status. Yet it is accounted to him as the father of faith; Sarah laughing off the suggestion to conceive, way beyond menopause. God broke human protocols and we have Isaac the patriarch, in history; Gideon demanding proof and doubting in God’s ability to help him win the war against the Midianites. In the end, God hands him victory with only 300 men. Barak doubting in God and refusing to go to war without Deborah accompanying him, effectively losing his place of honor to Jael, the wife of Heber who killed Sisera. Elijah displaying fear and doubt by running from Jezebel to hide in a cave, even after God proving Himself by embarassing hundreds of Baals prophets. Jeremiah wrestled with faith when he claimed he didn’t know how to speak because he was too young. God had to literally touch and reset his mouth, to default mode. Jonah wrestled with his faith because he knew God was going to be gracious and compassionate to those he felt they didn’t deserve it and tried to flee. We know about “Jonah express to Nineveh“. John the Baptist doubted if Jesus was really the Messiah and had to send his disciples to confirm whether he was the one; The Lord’s disciples scattered in doubt upon His arrest until he had to appear to them severally to prove His resurrection; Peter wrestled with faith and fear and denied Jesus, even after being made to walk on water and witnessing first hand, miracle after miracle, let alone being endorsed, as the rock upon whom the Church of Christ would stand; Thomas, one of the 12 disciples of Jesus Christ doubted that Jesus had resurrected until he had placed his finger on him, seen his hands and put his hands on his side.
Jesus, in the garden of Gethsemane felt our humanity under the intense pressure. He asked if there was another way. He knew there wasn’t, and he stuck with what he knew and fulfilled his mission of laying down his life for us. Jesus won everything for us in his wrestling match. He declared, it is finished! God gives special doses and graces of faith. Specifically crafted and tailored to accomplish divine assignments, to His glory and honor. Are you tired of waiting for that “prophetic” word to come to pass? Your visa, your husband, your wife, your job, your money, and all manner of dryness and barrenness? Are you tired, hopelessly weary and lacking in faith? God still commands us to believe His prophets. Genuine prophets! Your faith will reveal your level of maturity and crowning, in your spiritual walk, and in birthing your assignment. Be discerning, and choose carefully what to believe, disapprove or dispute, lest you be found conflicted against the will of God. But without faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6). The true flair and strength of our faith, is settled in the process, as the manifestation of our dreams is in our impact.
Mind your “faith” and “dreams” over matter!
